In this podcast Mick Carr, in conversation with Lisa Rickert, recalls his move to Newman from Marble Bar, and his first job with Mt Newman Mining, working in the Power House as a TA. However he eventually was able to accept an adult apprenticeship as a Plant Mechanic on the Mine. He and his wife lived in the Caravan Park to begin with, but graduated first to a villa in Gregory Ave and then to a house in Pond St, as their children started arriving.
