This week, Kate talks about Mossom Boyd an entrepreneuring yound man who emigrated to Canada from Ireland in the 1800's and became a Lumber Baron in Haliburton County - and beyond. Plus Paul talks about how Canada was an early pioneer in nuclear research - going back to 1899 - and how that lead to a significant role in the Manhattan Project that created the first atomic bomb.
