  • Regina Williams Candidate for County Executive
    Regina Williams is seeking the Republican nomination for the office of Frederick County Executive. The former Frederick County Budget Officer will kick and business woman  at her family’s business, J Bar W Ranch.
    Regina was born and raised on a dairy farm in Frederick County and attended Frederick County Public Schools. She earned her Bachelors Degree from Hood College, and is a CPA with a Masters Degree in Accounting & Financial Management from UMUC.
    During her tenure as Frederick County Budget Director, she was responsible for creating the budget and 6 year projections for the Bond Rating Agencies in New York that resulted in Frederick County being upgraded to AAA by Standard & Poor’s. For the first time in history, Frederick County had AAA bond rating by all three agencies. Fewer than 50 counties out of more than 3,000 counties nationwide have AAA bond ratings from all three rating agencies.

  • Justin Kiska -At Large Candidate for County Council
    Justin Kiska is an at-large candidate for Frederick County Council. The primary election is June 24. For the last 12 years, I have been in a position where I have had to make difficult decisions at times. I have been the executive of a company in an industry that, on a good day, is tough to survive in. The economic downturn of the last several years hit the entertainment industry very hard, and theaters across the country, including right here in the National Capital Region, were forced to close their doors. I am proud to say that Way Off Broadway, my family’s company, not only emerged from the economic crisis, but is stronger and better off because of it. Adaptability, creative problem solving, and being willing to make tough decisions for the good of the organization as a whole, are valuable lessons I learned through hands on experience; experience not everyone is fortunate enough to have.

    From the cry of “hooah” with which he began his remarks to repeated use of the word “daggone,” Republican Danny Farrar made good on his promise of an untraditional campaign announcement.
    Farrar is seek one of the two at-large seats on the Frederick County Council in the 2018 election.
    Farrar, 38, is a U.S. Army veteran and co-founder of the SoldierFit chain of fitness centers. He has also been a vocal advocate for veterans services, particularly mental health issues, and he has openly discussed his own suicide attempt.
