Anthony shares the same sentiment with the pro golfer, saying winning the “playoff” of the golf season doesn’t matter and the majors do. Ryan pushes back saying the PGA is just trying to add a signature event to end the season. With College Football starting at the end of the month, Anthony asks Michigan fans, what is a realistic expectation for the 2023 reigning national champions?

August 15, 2024 ~ Detroit Tigers Outfielder Kerry Carpenter does it again. Carpenter hit a game tying two run homer in the bottom of the 8th inning. In two games since returning from the Injured-List, Carpenter has hit three home runs, providing much needed offense for the Tigers. Akil Badoo later hit a walk off RBI double and the Tigers beat the Seattle Mariners again. Anthony and Ryan then dive into a fictional NFL team comprised of players 25 years old or younger. Are there any Lions on the defensive side?

August 14, 2024 ~ Brock Mealer joins the show. Mealer just released his book “Beyond 1%: Unleashing Your Potential Against All Odds” Mealer was faced with a 1% chance to walk again after a car accident, Mealer chose to rely on his faith to help him defy the odds. Mealer beat the odds and in 2010 walked the Michigan Football team out of the tunnel for their Home Opener

August 14, 2024 ~ The Detroit Tigers thump the Seattle Mariners 15-1. Kerry Carpenter returned to the lineup (has been out since May 26) with two home runs, and Jake Rogers led the way with seven RBI which included a grand slam. Anthony then provides an update on Terrion Arnold’s injury status and dives into an article that states the NFC North is the best division in football when it comes to wide receivers.

August 13, 2024 ~ After the first preseason game where the Detroit Lions lost to the New York Giants 14-3, Lions fans left the game concerned about the back-up quarterback position. With a lack luster performance from Nate Sudfeld and Hendon Hooker leaving the game with the concussion, the Lions sign former Georgia quarterback Jack Fromm. With injuries mounting for Detroit, Anthony asks the audience what the concern level is for the team and their injuries with less than a month before the regular season starts.

Then the Coach Kyle Barlow (Ohio Men’s Assistant Basketball Coach) joins the show and carries on the golf conversation, and which eccentric professional baseball team followed him on the golf course in Ohio. Then the coach talks about Team USA Men’s Basketball winning the gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

August 13, 2024 ~ Anthony shares his experience at the March of Dimes fundraiser he attended last night at The Inn at St. John where Guy Gordan, Dan Miller and Lomas Brown were honored for their work with the charity. Then Anthony and Ryan dive into the news from Lions camp yesterday where Detroit saw several players leave practice with injuries. Now the Lions and their fans have to deal with something they never had to deal with last season; the injury bug.

August 12, 2024 ~ With the NFL season right around the corner, Anthony breaks down the NFC playoff contenders in tiers and sees where the Lions stack up amongst the best in their conference and the rest of their loaded division. Then Anthony and Ryan expand on the USA Men’s Basketball team winning Gold in the 2024 Paris Olympics behind the legendary performances from Steph Curry, LeBron James and Kevin Durant. August 12, 2024 ~ The 2024 Paris Olympic Games officially coming to a close, Ryan breaks down his favorite events and the standout athletes that you may have missed in the past two weeks. NFL Preseason games were underway this weekend and rookie QB’s had nice games including Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and former Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy.

August 12, 2024 ~ After an eventful weekend and the close of the 2024 Olympic Games, Ryan found out the plans for the 2028 Olympic games in Los Angeles. The Tigers came into Sunday looking to avoid the sweep vs the San Francisco Giants after losing on Friday and Saturday. Behind the first Major League home run from rookie catcher Dillon Dingler, the Tigers beat the Giants 5-4. Finally the Lions get back to practice after losing their first preseason game 14-3 against the New York Giants.
