Fred Johnson was Macon's last Pearl Harbor Survivor when he passed away on January 31, 2020 at age 104.  We had the privilege of interviewing Mr. Johnson in 2016. On the 80th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack, we are presenting Mr. Johnson's story, in his own words.

Major David Carter passed away on July 17, 2021, at age 90. From a 2017 interview with The Greatest Memories, Major Carter talked about being part of the Army's first Special Forces unit in Korea, his 28-years as Professor of Military Science/Senior Army Instructor at Lanier/Central High School, playing "James Bond" during a halftime show and more.

Each month, longtime Middle Georgia TV and radio host Del Ward does a segment for "The Greatest Memories" podcast. After she had recorded this segment for the July 2021 edition of this podcast, Del had a conversation with Finnian Jaq Sandifer about their common love for theatre.

Diana Ross, Mary Wilson and Flo Ballard were the original Supremes, the biggest girl group of the 1960's. Mary Wilson performed at the Grand Opera House in Macon in the summer of 2016, and The Fox 94.7 radio talked with her by telephone prior to that show. The interview was later adapted for a segment on The Greatest Memories podcast.
