Feuding families, armed gardaí and violence in County Longford..
Up to two weeks ago, armed gardai were patrolling Longford town on a daily basis due to an outbreak of violence between feuding families.
Up to five families believed to be invovled.
A shocking 43 incidents of violence, criminal damage and arson had occurred within a ten week period in the districts of Longford town and Granard.
These included four stabbings, two arson attacks and a number of incidents in which individuals were seriously injured.
Liam was joined by the Chairman of Longford Municipal Town Cllr Seamus Butle..the man who branded those involved as "The Escobars of Ireland"!
