After being away from home for over 3 and a half years, I'm prone to getting homesick. After my recent extended visit home, I am left with some mixed emotions and wanted to share some of my experiences and thoughts from the trip.

I think it's a little hyperbolic to say "ruining," but I truly think that right now there are too many contract disputes and holdouts going on in the NFL. Sometimes they are happening years before a contract is even due to be renewed, and players and owners are both at fault.

Jeff Daniels is the newest celebrity talking big in regards to opposing President Trump, saying we need somebody who can “punch him in the face.” I think not only are they uninformed, unoriginal, and pandering, but they are flat out corny and irrelevant.

Mario Lopez recently had an interview with Candace Owens, and while discussing the topic of transgender children he said some things that were quickly labeled as “offensive.” Mario said nothing offense, spoke about the topic calmly, rationally, and in a very open-minded manner. After the backlash Mario did the typical Hollywood actor move of giving in to the outspoken minority, cowering, and offering a clearly fake apology. Don't be surprised if things escalate and Lopez soon loses his job.

LeBron James has been criticized by some for his recent behavior at his son Bronny’s AAU games. He has been accused of being a fame chaser who wants all of the spotlight for himself. I just think he’s a great father.
