Malachi 2:10-16. No one begins a relationship with a friend or a spouse with the intention of one day being unfaithful. Yet, it happens so often. How do we guard against becoming unfaithful?

Acts 1:1-11. Listen to our honored guest speaker as he shares with us how we can prepare to experience God’s power by understanding truth, waiting on God’s presence, gathering together, and knowing God personally.

Haggai 1:1-15. After beginning the work of rebuilding the temple, the Israelites faced opposition which led them to discontinue their work. After 16 years of building their own houses instead of the temple, God sends Haggai to challenge the people to continue their work building the temple. Like the Israelites, we too can lose sight of God and allow other things to become first in our lives. We need the reminder of Haggai to put first things first.

1 John 4:9-12. God showed his love for us in Jesus’ coming. How should we respond to his radical display of sacrificial love for us?

Luke 2:8-20. After the shepherds met Jesus they “spread the word concerning what had been told to them about this child.” Why did they react that way? And what will enable us to respond likewise? The answer to both questions is found in what had been told to them about Jesus.

Matthew 2:1-12. The Magi receive revelation by way of a guiding star that a King has been born. They make the long journey to Bethlehem to worship Jesus. In response to the gift that God has given the world in Jesus, they worship Jesus with extravagant giving of their own.

Luke 2:19, Matthew 1:22-23. After giving birth to Jesus we are told that Mary responded by treasuring and pondering all that Jesus’ birth meant. As we reflect on Jesus’ birth this Christmas season let us respond in the same way.
