Join us as Pastor Tommy shares a message focused in Hebrews 3, the author encourages us to keep our eyes on Jesus, not be distracted or disobedient by sin's deception.
The truth is, we don’t miss out in life because opportunities aren’t there—we miss out because we let deception, distraction, or disobedience take our eyes off Jesus.

Pastor Tommy, shares this message presents Hebrews 3 as a courtroom-style argument showing why Jesus is greater than Moses, the law, and every other system people trust in. Written to Jews tempted to cling to old rituals, intellectual belief, or outright rejection, Hebrews 3 warns us that focusing on anything other than Jesus leads to unbelief and spiritual hardness. Moses was a faithful servant, but Jesus is the faithful Son—the builder, not the house—so fixing our eyes on the law, traditions, or even a customized “Build-A-Bear” version of God is modern idolatry. This message connects Israel’s wilderness rebellion to today, arguing that deception, not ignorance, fuels idolatry by reshaping God into something useful, familiar, or culturally comfortable. The antidote is holding fast to Christ through Scripture, Spirit-led correction, honest community, and daily encouragement, so our hearts become worship factories for the true God rather than idol factories that lead to spiritual death.

1.25.26 Pastor Tommy shares this message will reflect on the road to Emmaus, arguing that spiritual stagnation comes from subtly making faith about ourselves rather than Jesus. Using personal stories, Scripture and metaphors of ocean currents and drifting, we will be warned that believers naturally drift away unless they intentionally tether themselves to Jesus, fully surrendering rather than living in a comfortable middle ground between worldly desires and wholehearted devotion. Modern Christianity’s focus on personal fulfillment is subtle. The Christian life is not about achieving one’s dreams but about losing oneself in Christ, whose glory far surpasses human perspective. The message calls listeners to examine whether they have abandoned their “first love,” repent, and actively return to the practices and passion that once marked their faith, emphasizing that true love for Christ should deepen, grow, and move “further” over time, leading to sacrificial living for God and others. To get connected visit https://www.midtownvineyardchurch.com...To Donate https://midtownvineyard.churchcenter.... 1.18.26 Pastor Tommy shares that this message traces the biblical story from creation through Israel’s history to show how the Christian faith ultimately centers on Jesus. It explores themes of God’s breath and presence in creation, humanity’s fragile yet sacred nature, and the growing human search for God amid uncertainty. While childhood faith often collapses under adult experiences, the early Christians’ faith was grounded not in tradition or rules but in a single starting point: the resurrection of Jesus. Drawing especially on Psalm 110 and the book of Hebrews, this message concludes that the resurrection was the decisive event that convinced Jesus’ followers that He is Lord, fulfilling Scripture and changing everything by offering proof that God has acted decisively in the world. To get connected visit https://www.midtownvineyardchurch.com...To Donate https://midtownvineyard.churchcenter....
