Christ is our hope individually, He has brought us together to have hope communally in the Family of God, and He has made His Family, the Church, the light to the world, making us a beacon of His great hope to a world in desperate need of hope!

In week 2 of our Family of God series, we look at what peace and flourishing - Shalom - looks like in the Family of God now . . . today!

Our Saviour Jesus Christ is love and it is His Spirit that binds us together as the Family of God. Love must define the Church, the brothers and sisters of Christ. This is the 1st of 4 sermons in this series, "The Family of God."

Jesus didn't divert from danger, but went headlong into it as He was passionately driven to Jerusalem to be arrested, mocked, spit on, flogged, crucified, buried, and raised three days later.

We take a break from the book of Mark for a short devotional study in the book of Colossians to answer the question, "Why should we be thankful?"

Have faith like a child not like a rich man. That is the core of our time in this teaching. What does the grace of God through faith bring but joy to the heart of the believer? God's desire is for people to have humble dependence upon the LORD and not arrogance in their own effort and works like the rich man.

Jesus is tested by the Pharisees about divorce, but as with all things with those guys, it wasn't about divorce. Learn what the heart of God is about marriage and covenant.

This week we conclude the Jesus' discussion with the disciples after they spend this part of their journey discussing and arguing about who is the greatest.  Jesus puts an end to the divisive talk and gives them a new direction, peace with one another.

This week we more deeply understand what was going on with John trying to stop the man who was healing the demon-possessed man and hear Jesus' appeal for His disciples to simply follow Him instead of worrying about others.
