Saving faith recognizes the sufficiency of the righteousness of Christ.

The passing of a loved one provides a great opportunity to reflect on our own lives and ask the question: "do I have a sincere faith?" If our faith is sincere, the Lord will grow our faith and we will be able to leave a legacy of faith impacting eternity.

The Lord promises eternal rewards for those who persevere in suffering - we remember His promises and fix our eyes Him.

Suffering allows us to identify with Jesus in a way that we wouldn't be able to without suffering.

In suffering, God gives grace and power, we return praise and glory.

We aren't saved by the work we do but the work we do is important - as it can have value for eternity.

We cannot rely on ourselves, we can't handle it, we don't have the strength. But the battle is not ours but the Lord's, rely on Him.

Maturity in faith causes us to turn to the Lord in prayer and praise - even in suffering.

Through suffering, the Lord is giving new platforms and new opportunities to share the Gospel and to shine brightly.

When we suffer, the Lord comforts us: because He loves us and He is preparing us to be able to minister to others who are suffering.
