Rep. Jeff Myers discusses his bill to combat the scourge of sex and human trafficking in Missouri

-Sex trafficking is modern slavery.
-There are 94 suspected illicit massage storefronts in Missouri spread out among many different counties
-Anyone can be a human trafficker or a victim regardless of age, race, nationality, social class, gender, or sexual orientation. 
-Missouri ranks fourth on the list of the states with the highest human trafficking rate in the United States, with 4.3 per 100,000 citizens.

It's easy to get discouraged during the legislative session.  But every now and then something happens that makes it all worth it.  Rep. Jim Murphy talks about his bill to create baby boxes in Missouri.  His legislation eventually became law after 3 years of trying to get it through the process.  And last week, the first baby was saved because of it.  God is good.
