Have you ever thought about the language that we use to describe migraine disease and life with migraine? Are there words and terms that are better to use than others? How about the images we use to portray migraine? And why is it important to think about the language and images we use?
Lucky for us, the Coalition for Headache and Migraine Patients (CHAMP) has produced a Headache & Migraine Disease Language & Image Guide to set us on the right path and help us use language and images that will reduce stigma and advocate for us. Join me as I talk through the guide and discuss why and how language and imagery can be so important.

This week on the Podcast we talk with Adriane Dellorco, founder of the Yoga for Migraine Facebook group and owner of www.yogamigraine.com . A former teacher and dance instructor, Adriane has been a yoga practitioner for most of her life. But it was when her migraine attacks turned chronic that she moved her career from the hectic world of dance to the more meditative and restorative world of yoga.
Join us as Adriane talks about how she adapts yoga to make it suitable for those with migraine, to learn about the forms of yoga you can practice even on high pain days, and to find out how yoga practice can even be adapted to be done in bed. Best of all, Adriane will tell us all about her free Better Sleep Challenge that she's got coming up from June 22 - 26.
You can also join her FB group Yoga for Migraine or sign up at www.yogamigraine.com for more details.

Have you ever heard someone say "unless you've had a migraine you can't understand what it feels like"?
Although it may be true, it's not the most helpful statement to build empathy for a condition that is often difficult to understand. So this week on the Migraine Magic podcast, we're addressing this with two stories to help you understand what life might be like if you were living with migraine. You'll experience two different realities, and all you have to do is sit back, open your heart and enjoy the ride. Then be sure to let us know what you think!
For anyone who struggled through COVID or struggles with depression, it does come with a trigger warning.
