Sydney woke up to thick fog across the city, resulting in flight delays at the airport and some ferries cancelled.
A Sydney Airport spokesperson said the conditions were “impacting flights across the network”.
“We advise passengers to check the status of their flight with their airline.”
Transport for NSW said many Sydney ferries were not running on Tuesday morning due to the heavy fog.
“Passengers are advised to make alternative arrangements or consider catching a regular bus service instead,” a spokesperson said.
“Passengers should factor in extra travel time, listen to announcements and check information displays for service updates.”
Some ferry services have since resumed, with ferries east of Sydney Harbour Bridge now operating.
F3 Parramatta River and F4 Pyrmont Bay ferries are still affected by the fog, with some services cancelled between Rydalmere and Circular Quay, and between Sydney Olympic Park and Barangaroo.
There was limited road visibility on Tuesday morning too, with a road weather alert issued by the Bureau of Meteorology for all of Sydney’s suburbs.
