A woman is missing after being swept away by floodwaters north of Cessnock in the Hunter Valley, as wild weather batters parts of New South Wales with heavy rainfall and snow.
The SES has issued flood warnings for the Hunter region, while Rosebrook, Aberdeen and Middlebrook have received Watch and Act alerts. People in parts of Scone have been instructed to evacuate.
Meanwhile, hundreds of vehicles are stuck in the snow in the Northern Tablelands, as Ebor was hit with the largest amount of snowfall in 20 years. Heavy snowfall has forced Armidale regional airport to close.
Damaging winds have lashed the Mid North Coast, threatening property in Kempsey, Crescent Head and South West Rocks.
