The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered reviewed by Travis Northup on Xbox Series X, also available on PlayStation 5 and PC. Stick around after the score for an interview with Travis about the review process and his RPG tastes.

"The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is an awesome nostalgic adventure that recaptures most of what I loved about the 2006 original, while sanding down many of its roughest edges. The result is a fantastic open-world RPG that’s aged quite well, with questlines and stories that are better than I remembered, modernizations (like the slightly improved leveling system) that remove some of the friction of the original, and loads of opportunities to make this adventure whatever you want it to be via the plentiful freedom afforded to you. On the other hand, not enough has been done to make this thing significantly less buggy than it notoriously was back in the day, and some design choices – like the enemy scaling and procedural Oblivion levels that become dull fast – have not been improved, which feels like a squandered opportunity. Even so, I never expected to so thoroughly enjoy replaying this uniquely goofy RPG, and I am so, so glad I took this walk down memory lane (now with the option to sprint down it)."

In today's Daily Fix:

Borderlands 4 just got a new release date, and it's earlier than expected. Not only is that good news for Borderlands fans, but also Grand Theft Auto 6 fans. GTA 6 does not have a confirmed release date, only a vague "Fall 2025," but with both games falling under the watchful eye of Take-Two Interactive, it could be that Borderlands dev Gearbox may have gotten word internally on GTA 6's release date, and moved accordingly to make room. Could both games be releasing in September? In other release date news, upcoming action soulslike Wuchang: Fallen Feathers has a confirmed release date of July 24th, along with details of its Deluxe Edition and pre-order bonuses. And finally, A Minecraft Movie madness is getting the official okay from Warner Bros., with the studio supporting "Block Party" screenings where viral acts of Chicken Jockey insanity are encouraged.

Thunderbolts*, reviewed by Clint Gage.

Thunderbolts* is the most solid the sacred timeline has felt in a little while, providing an adventure befitting its overlooked title characters. While it very capably dabbles in a darker tone – touching on the mental health of heroes and villains alike – the filmmakers struggle to balance that dabbling with a snappy, comedic energy. While the movie as a whole left me feeling like it was a downer on the balance, it’s at least the good kind of downer, filled with characters I’m looking forward to seeing again.

Did you just loot some shiny gear in The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remastered, and now you’re wondering where to sell your stolen goods? In this video, we’ll show you exactly where to find fences and the requirements for unlocking them!

Many of the items you can fill your item bag with as you adventure around Cyrodiil don’t belong to anyone in particular. However, some things, like objects found in most homes and inns, or the jewels in a citizen's pockets, have an owner, and taking things without asking is stealing. Any stolen items in your possession will be marked with a red hand in your inventory, and you need to do something with them before they cause you trouble. There are a total of seven of them in Cyrodiil, but some are easier to sell to than others!
