In today's Daily Fix:

Xbox has announced their big summer showcase, followed immediately by an Outer Worlds 2-focused Direct. And they just happen to line up on the final day of this year's IGN Live, so come join us for live coverage of the Xbox Showcase, and more! In other news, Hades 2 will be a timed console exclusive for the Switch 2. The game will also come to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, but PlayStation and Xbox users will have to wait a bit. And finally, the Switch 2 GameCube controller might only work on GameCube Classics titles from Nintendo Switch Online. Bummer, if you were hoping to play Smash Bros. Ultimate with the new GameCube controller, but then again, it might work and Nintendo is just covering their bases just in case.

Blue Prince reviewed on PC, also available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Blue Prince's complex mysteries weave brilliantly into the careful decision making of how to lay out the mansion’s rooms on each randomized run. The story that slowly emerges within this fascinating place is also a compelling one, and it had me hungrily hunting for clues and combinations for many hours after I reached the credits while also poetically tying into the mechanics that lead you to them. Getting a bad draw you did everything in your power to avoid can frustrate from time to time, but this sprawling estate has so much to uncover that the randomness never stalled my progress for too long. If The Witness, Portal, and Myst are already emblazoned on the Mount Rushmore of first-person puzzle games, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Blue Prince carved alongside them soon enough.

Rebellions are built on hope. Check out the new Andor teaser trailer for season 2 of the Star Wars series. Andor Season 2 stars Diego Luna, Stellan Skarsgård, Genevieve O’Reilly, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Alan Tudyk, Faye Marsay, Varada Sethu, Elizabeth Dulau, with Ben Mendelsohn and Forest Whitaker. The three-episode premiere of Andor season 2 streams on Disney+ on April 22, 2025.

The second season of Andor takes place as the horizon of war draws near and Cassian becomes a key player in the Rebel Alliance. Everyone will be tested and, as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will become profound. Rife with political intrigue and danger, the series is a prequel to “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” which portrayed a heroic band of rebels who steal the plans to the Empire’s weapon of mass destruction—The Death Star—setting the stage for the events of the original 1977 film. “Andor” sets the clock back five years from the events of “Rogue One” to tell the story of the film’s hero, Cassian Andor, and his transformation from disinterested, cynical nobody into a rebel hero on his way to an epic destiny.

The series was created by Tony Gilroy, who also serves as an executive producer along with Kathleen Kennedy, Sanne Wohlenberg, Diego Luna, Luke Hull and John Gilroy. Tony Gilroy wrote the first three episodes, with Beau Willimon writing episodes 4-6, Dan Gilroy penning episodes 7-9 and Tom Bissell putting pen to paper for episodes 10-12. The directors for the series are Ariel Kleiman (Eps. 1-6), Janus Metz (Eps. 7-9) and Alonso Ruizpalacios (Eps. 10-12).
