With 22 constitutionally recognized languages, creating a large language model (LLM) that works for everyone in India raises its own unique challenges.
➡️ " The way language is used in India is very interesting," said Sarvam AI co-founder Pratyush Kumar. "We often mix Indian languages with English. We sometimes even speak between Indian languages."
➡️ Kumar explained that language usage needs to be intersected with what people are doing to create useful and valuable LLMs.
