Tariffs are posing major headwinds for the U.S. and global economies, leading the International Monetary Fund to slash its 2025 growth forecast.
“There is a huge amount of uncertainty in the global economy right now,” IMF’s chief economist, Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas told CNBC.
ECB President Christine Lagarde added that the central bank will “have to be attentive to the developments of the relationships between the US and the rest of the world.”
