The first special flight carrying Chinese citizens evacuated from Iran arrived at Beijing Capital International Airport on Friday afternoon, having departed from Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. Since June 16, Turkmenistan has kept its borders with Iran open to assist with the evacuation of foreign nationals amid the escalating Israel-Iran conflict. By June 19, a total of 845 people from 22 countries, including China, had entered Turkmenistan via border checkpoints. An additional 1,691 evacuees from 18 countries are expected to cross in the coming days.

The Israeli Air Force carried out a large wave of strikes on dozens of sites in Iran overnight, including a nuclear facility in Isfahan, the country's largest. A local Iranian official confirmed the attack, adding that there was no leakage of hazardous materials.
