A fire broke out beneath a Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH) train in Jersey City, New Jersey, forcing passengers to flee and causing multiple train lines to be suspended on Monday morning.
Video from Joseph Nikhil Reddy captures the chaos as passengers evacuated the smoke-filled train.
Local reports state the fire began under an eastbound train around 6:15 am, prompting evacuation; several passengers were treated for smoke inhalation.
Train service was halted between Hoboken and World Trade Center, 33rd Street, and between Journal Square and 33rd Street, according to officials.
