Wild Space was somewhat similar to the Unknown Regions in the sense that it was largely unexplored, but it was also nearly completely unmapped. Basically, while the Unknown Regions are largely…unknown…there was more of an effort to learn more about it. The Chiss Ascendancy was known. Ilum and Exegol had been discovered. Palpatine was very interested in exploring that specific region of space, and so there is kind of a basic boundary that contains the Unknown Regions. Wild Space is almost entirely a mystery, even though there were also expeditions to begin charting it. Think of it like this. We know there is more to the galaxy, but we don’t know what. It’s in Wild Space that we’ve seen some truly weird and mystical stuff, like the realm of Mortis. Or the nebulas that hid the planet Lira San. Honestly, I think Wild Space would have been a better name for the Unknown Regions, and vice versa, but it’s too late for that. #starwars

Who is Beaumont Kin? He was a historian that joined the Resistance after the destruction of Hosnian Prime. He was very interested in the ancient Sith and visited several worlds important to their Order like Malachor and Moraband. He earned a doctorate from the Lerct Historical Institute on Hosnian Prime and was given funding to archaeological expeditions on the planet Yoturba. He happened to discover a Sith holocron there while he was being visited by Luke Skywalker and Lor San Tekka. Over a decade later the First Order attacked. The destruction of the New Republic senate prompted him to join the Resistance, and he survived through the Battle of Exegol. When the fighting was over, he wrote a book about The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, in the hopes that future generations could prevent the return of another Imperial regime. #starwars

Was Darth Vader weaker or stronger in the suit? Like many Star Wars questions, I think this one is up for debate, but let’s start with George Lucas’s own words. In an interview with Rolling Stone, he said that after he had his injuries on Mustafar, “He wasn’t as strong as the Emperor. He was like Darth Maul or Count Dooku. He wasn’t what he was supposed to become.” In The Making of Return of the Jedi he also talks about how the whole point of the suit is that Vader might have been able to live without it, but he would have been a weak pile of nothing. So the suit was made to compensate for what Anakin lost. The book Lords of the Sith goes into how his suit and helmet even caused him pain, which he used to feed his hate, and therefore his strength in the dark side. So this is tough to answer. I think we can say for sure that Darth Vader’s potential wasn’t as high after his injuries. But we see that the Sith apprentice is still immensely powerful. For me, the answer to the question who is more powerful isn’t as important as what the suit actually represents. I know people also bring up the idea of losing limbs meaning a loss of midi-chlorians. We can even see in the Darth Vader comics that his limbs are shown differently during his meditations in the Force. I don’t really buy into that. I don’t think losing arms and legs is the same as a loss in power. Is Yoda weaker just because he is physically smaller? No! Size matters not. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. I certainly think losing all your arms and legs would be a difficult mental roadblock to get past, so I can understand it affecting Vader’s connection to the Force…but I also think it’s something he would be able to overcome. #starwars

Blaster bolts were created by turning different types of energy-rich gas into a hot beam. Different kinds of gasses produced different colored beams. Purple is probably the most rare blaster bolt color we’ve seen in Star Wars. Geonosian starfighters fired purple bolts in Attack of the Clones. Octuptarra tri-droids were seen using purple on Skako Minor in The Clone Wars, and Skad shot purple blaster bolts in The Book of Boba Fett. Although I wouldn’t consider it a blaster bolt, the Malevolence fired a large purple energy blast in The Clone Wars, as well. So maybe purple has a connection to Clone Wars era weaponry. It could be a gas from Geonosis or Skako Minor or another Separatist weapons manufacturer. And then maybe Skad got ahold of an old blaster on Tatooine. #starwars

When did Ben Solo fall to the dark side? That’s hard to pinpoint, but we do know that the destruction of Luke’s temple took place six years before the events of The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. That was the final nail in the coffin. That said, Snoke had already been manipulating Ben for some unknown amount of time. And it’s possible young Solo had already dabbled in dealings with the First Order. The book Bloodline, which takes place before the comic, hints that Ben Solo knew of an assassination attempt on his mother’s life, and he may have secretly warned her about it. So we don’t know the full timeline of his fall, but we can say that he became Kylo Ren six years before the sequel trilogy. #starwars
