Sharing a clip of the interaction to his 49 million Instagram followers on Sunday (6 July), the singer said: ”I appreciate the effort on this waxwork but it’s creepy, let’s be honest.”

A bonfire topped with an effigy of migrants in a boat has been lit in Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland, prompting a hate incident investigation.

Footage showed a boat containing more than a dozen life-sized mannequins wearing life jackets on top of the fire in Moygashel, above placards saying “stop the boats” and “veterans before refugees”.

It was one of around 300 expected to be lit across Northern Ireland on Thursday and Friday nights (10-11 July), ahead of the Orange Order’s annual July 12 parades.

The pyre is being investigated as a hate incident, the Police Service of Northern Ireland confirmed.

Church of Ireland Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland John McDowell condemned the bonfire as “racist, threatening and offensive”.

Amnesty International’s Northern Ireland director Patrick Corrigan described the pyre as a “vile, dehumanising act that fuels hatred and racism”.

July's "Buck Moon" glistened over Greece's 2,500-year-old Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion late on Thursday, 10 July.

The full moon shone brightly above the ancient ruins, once a key religious and strategic site, creating a striking scene.

This year’s Buck Moon is notable as it is one of the most distant full moons of 2025, appearing slightly smaller in the sky.

It also coincides with a period of major lunar standstill, meaning the Moon’s path is unusually low in the sky, which can amplify the so-called “Moon illusion” – an optical effect that makes the Moon appear dramatically larger when close to the horizon.

The UK coastguard has been tackling "multiple incidents involving small boats” in the English Channel as Sir Keir Starmer is set to agree a migrant return deal with France.

UK border force vessels rushed out to the channel on Thursday morning to intercept a number of small boats crossing the channel, the coastguard said.

It came after Nigel Farage was filmed watching a dinghy being intercepted by the French navy earlier today. He claimed there were 78 illegal migrants on board.

Under the deal being thrashed out by France and the UK during Emmanuel Macron's state visit, up to 50 migrants a week could be sent back to France.

The French president and Sir Keir will round off the three-day state visit with a press conference in London at which they are expected to announce new plans to tackle small boat crossings.

A deal has not yet been finalised but a pilot scheme could start as early as next week, according to reports, and could see migrants returned to France in exchange for those with genuine claims to be in the UK.

Sir Keir Starmer has announced a “groundbreaking” one in, one out deal with Emmanuel Macron to return small boats migrants in exchange for asylum seekers in France.

Rounding off the French president’s three-day state visit to the UK on Thursday, the delayed joint press conference finally got underway after crunch talks were held on the agreement.

Sir Keir said: “There is no silver bullet here, but with a united effort, new tactics and a new level of intent, we can finally turn the tables.

“So I am pleased to announce our agreement today on a groundbreaking returns pilot.

“For the very first time, migrants arriving via small boat will be detained and returned to France in short order.”

Meanwhile, migrants have been crossing the English Channel in small boats to Dover. Border Force vessels were sent in response to a number of boats on Thursday morning, according to HM coastguard.
