Clutching dollar bills, the figure drifted past gondolas, amusing onlookers while making a pointed statement about wealth and inequality.

The stunt, orchestrated by activist group Borne Media, used a remotely controlled motorised raft to carry the fake Bezos.

The Pentagon has released a demonstration of how the Bunker Buster bombs, which were used on three nuclear facilities in Iran, work.

On Wednesday (25 June), Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine showed the media a video of a test run of the explosive.

In the clip, the bomb can be seen penetrating the earth before exploding, with various angles of the impact being captured.

Mr Caine explained that unlike other bombs, there is no impact crater as the munition is “designed to deeply bury and then function”.

The US struck three nuclear facilities in Iran - Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan - on Sunday (22 June).

Centrifuges at the Fordo site are now “no longer operational”, the International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed on Thursday (26 June).

India’s authorities have successfully recovered the first data from the two black boxes of the Air India flight that crashed outside Ahmedabad airport earlier this month.

India's civil aviation ministry said on Thursday that investigators are working to piece together what led to the crash, which killed all but one of the 242 people on board the plane as well as at least 19 people on the ground.

According to the ministry, data extraction from the aircraft’s black boxes began on 24 June under the supervision of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB). The crash-protected memory unit from the front recorder has been successfully retrieved, accessed, and its data downloaded.

Analysis of both the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) and flight data recorder (FDR) is currently in progress, the ministry added.

An American Airlines flight departing from Las Vegas’s Harry Reid International Airport made an emergency return Wednesday due to an “engine issue,” the Federal Aviation Administration said.

Flight 1665, an Airbus A321, departed for the Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina around 8:11 a.m., and within minutes, passengers and local observers reported seeing sparks and hearing loud booming noises.
