Melanie Rummel, a registered nurse in Texas, was a few months pregnant in 2021 when she learned her baby girl had a fatal genetic disorder. Her daughter wouldn’t survive, and she was suffering. Since then, she’s fought to expand abortion access in Texas. Her story is a clear example of the harm abortion bans cause.
