06 AUGUST 2025 MESSAGE:

Thanks for tuning in.

Podtube is moving to a new system designed to better serve its community—with one important change: it now requires user registration. Don’t worry—a Free tier is available to everyone, so anyone can join.

Why the shift?

The new system aims to tackle some tough challenges:

- First, we’re removing bots and automated abuse that were draining server resources.

- Second, we’re improving the infrastructure so things run smoother and faster.

- Third, this is a human-focused upgrade—we want features that support real users.

- And finally, it’s about financial sustainability—to ensure Podtube can keep running and evolving long into the future.

What’s in it for you?

Benefits vary based on your membership tier, but here are just a few highlights:

- Feed filters to include or exclude Lives, Shorts, and regular videos.

- No self-advertising insertions for paid tiers.

- Extended feed scans—up to 100 videos on first setup.

- Higher update frequency for your feeds.

The new interface is also designed to be friendly for vision-impaired users, making Podtube more inclusive for all.

To see what’s available at your tier, check the link in the description.

Now, here’s the roadmap for transitioning from the old system to the new system:

- User registration is already open.

- Creation of feed links in the old system has been disabled.

- By mid-August 2025, updates to old feed links will stop.

- And by the end of August 2025, audio download through old links will be disabled, completing the full migration to the new Podtube system.

To register, you first need to become a member of our Patreon group—any tier counts, even the Free tier. Details are in the episode description. We hope you’ll join us as Podtube enters this exciting new phase.

Thanks for listening!

PODTUBE is a personal project and was originally developed to be used only by its creator, but then the creator decided to open it, making PODTUBE available to everybody with similar needs, for free.

However, PODTUBE has server, bandwidth, development, maintenance and improvement costs.

And the number of users is growing daily, requiring frequent service upgrades to keep a minimum usability level.

Its continuity as a free service depends on your support.

Health authorities have confirmed a significant and alarming discovery related to food consumed at local McDonald's restaurants across the country. Genetic testing conducted on individuals who recently dined at these establishments has revealed the presence of human DNA within their systems.

The sun disappeared 5 minutes ago. There are now 3 minutes of sunshine left. After this, the light previously emitted by the sun will cease to be captured by the earth. Life can continue and will not be extinguished when the lights go out. We estimate that there are still 4 days to go before the earth's surface temperature becomes unliveable.

HUMMING SOUND INDICATES IMMINENT THREAT. THE SOUND DISTORTS REALITY. TRUST NO SENSATION. ANTICIPATE A SLOW DESCENT INTO MADNESS, WHERE RATIONALITY AND REASON DISSOLVE INTO CHAOS AND DELUSION.

Here are 3 different EAS alarms you might have heard if you were at Hogwarts during 1991-1992.

I've got something totally different for you in this video. These alarms are inspired by the incredible story of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. I want to make it clear that all the credit for the story goes to the one and only J.K. Rowling. I'm just having a bit of fun here, creating these alerts based on the epic events from the book.

*****The Emergency Alert System (EAS) that you're about to see in this video is purely fictional and should not be taken seriously or followed in any way. It's all for entertainment purposes only.*****

If you enjoy this channel, please subscribe, like, and leave a comment to show your support. Your engagement means a lot and helps the channel grow.
