I had a bit of nostalgia today driving around town in Traverse City and the Cherryland Mall (now called Cherryland Center and nearly empty). It's amazing the things you remember about things so long ago.

Also, I talk about some nostalgia about podcasting. When it was a hobby and a form of therapy for a lot of people. I'm sure it still is for some, but sometimes I see the all the business end of it.

The McRib is back at McDonald's for a limited time and Fast Food History is back as well. Hopefully for a less limited time :)

The McRib is a barbecue-flavored pork sandwich periodically sold by McDonald's It was invented by the same guy that invented the McNuggets when there was a Chicken shortage.  It was first sold in 1981 and comes and goes from the menu from time to time (unless you are in Germany where it's on the menu all the time)

Fall is in the air around Traverse City these days, but the trees are not turning color just yet.  Looking forward to being done with house projects and getting settled in for winter.

I flipped on the mic for an update for the summer.  We are getting rain after 3 weeks of hot dry weather.

I went to Podcast Movement, The U. P. of Michigan.  An old truck update and more about house updates.

Was a HOT weekend in TC.  The Air Show weekend was good, just a quick before-work update.

 

I got a new toy in the studio.  A Denon DN-300R digital recorder deck.  Now I can record WITHOUT the computer in the studio.

Also, I updated our renovation projects and other things going on in Traverse City.

 

I thought I lost my portable recorder,  Then found it and thought I broke it and now it works.  Go figure  :)

Just a quick update from Northern Michigan.

 

I update my tobacco free status (3+ Weeks) and talk about Facebook, YouTube and whatnot. Just remember, no matter what other place I am at, I'm always going to be right here on MikeDell.com

Also, Do you know of any other "Personal Journal" type podcasts like this one? I used to listen to a lot of them, but I sort of think this may be a dying art form. Let me know [email protected]

Recording today was done with a Logitech Headset mic I got while I was in Ohio.  It's not the best, but I'm sure not the worst way to record a podcast :)
