  • 096 | Poetry in Motion: A Journey with The Uncooked Poet, Tim Lipp

Any questions? Comments? Thoughts? Send me a text!

On today's show, I get to talk word shop and human expression with Tim Lipp, @TheUncookedPoet, whose debut book, "Recovering Christian," prompts a celebration of creativity and the human condition.

    Learn about Tim 💡
Hear all about his journey. Coming from a strict upbringing to travelling the world and experiencing a revelation that'd change his life forever.

Understand the power of words 🪄
We talk about the art of channelling abstract thoughts into the structure, the dynamic role of language in shaping our worldviews, and the personal walls we put up to protect our creative endeavours.

Creativity is a conduit for raw emotions 🎭
Tim's story is one where identity and cultural tapestry are woven into the very fabric of artistic voice.  As we dissect the notion of creativity as a tool for problem-solving, we embrace the chaos as a harbinger of innovation, even in lives that might not self-identify with traditional creative labels.

Please purchase your copy of Recovering Christian here:  www.recoveringchristianbook.com

  • 094: "Song of The Lioness" with Ellie Henson

Any questions? Comments? Thoughts? Send me a text!

She's an Enlifted gangster Pirate, rope flow queen, Steel Mace Flow artist and my dear friend. Many of you may know her as "Hardcore" Henson and this former High School band director has recently stepped fully into her role as a top level movement educator, word ninja and overall badass lady boss of her life. A truly inspiring person that I've wanted to have on the show for a long time and for good reason. We get into it all. Ellie's new online Rope Flow education and classes, her story, why movement, why ropes, how to overcome injuries and setbacks, career transitions, Biebs vs. Swizzy, Tacos vs. Thai Food, the island life... you name it. This is the Song of The Lioness.

For more info on Ellie, give her a follow on instagram at @hardcorehenson

Many know this ninja as the Steel Mace Flow dude. Some know him as the language and mindset coach. Very few know he's an obsessive Tigers fan.

  • 092: "Get Back In The Saddle" with Ian Gilligan

Any questions? Comments? Thoughts? Send me a text!

Ian Gilligan creates profoundly resilient humans.

We get into it with another Enlifted pirate gangster colleague of mine.

I first learned of Ian by watching this ridiculous homie talking in an Irish accent on Instagram about all the ways we can use words to our advantage. I later learned this homie was an American and one of the top Enlifted coaches in the field. Ian uses his breath work and language ninja skills for good in the Kettlebell Collective, teaching folks how to swing a kettlebell and integrate proper breathing into their practice.

They go all around the country and host digital courses as well so you can keep fit and learn the proper technique to crush the fitness game like a true gangster. He also has a sick language program for parents as well. Check the timestamps below for all the radness mapped out. We chat about breathing, what the modern education system is missing and who would win in a duel, T-Swift or Bieber... okay I'm embellishing that that one... we do talk about those two though! Check out all the rad shit Ian's up to:

Any questions? Comments? Thoughts? Send me a text!

Fam. This is a must listen if you're a musician. Lyrics are just as powerful as the music. I had the wonderful treat to riff on this with my dude, Adam Chin. He's the Co-Founder of Procabulary and Enlifted and he's a badass language ninja. We originally started chatting on all of this to get his insight on the word game as it applied to pop music and especially in the interesting times we're in right now. How much of the subconscious mind is fuelled by the lyrics we choose to listen to? Is there a better way to communicate our message? Man, oh man. This convo is gold.
