"This episode: Oakland’s BPos, a rap crew that celebrated the release of their new album “Positive Beings” at San Francisco’s Brick & Mortar, and I was there to capture it all. Plus, another killer set from the Music Video Race showcase, this time by the band Doppio. You might recall that last month I played sets by Your Cannons and Giggle Party, two other bands that played at Above DNA that night. I think you’ll like what Doppio has in store for ya…

"The Music Video Race is an annual event held here in San Francisco that teams up bands with filmmakers and gives them a weekend to shoot and edit a music video, and they picked a handful of bands to showcase at Above DNA right here in San Francisco. Today I’m stoked to play for you two of them: Your Cannons and Giggle Party. With their three-guitar setup, Your Cannons sounds a bit like a more indie-leaning Radiohead, complete with British singer. Giggle Party really means it with the “Party”—this show had blow-up mics, balloons, dancing, crowd participation, you name it. The Music Video Race is expanding to Austin and LA this year, so be on the lookout!
