On this episode of the Beyond the Helmet we are joined by former All-Pro fullback, Mike Karney.

Mike began his NFL career when the Saints drafted him in the 5th round of the ’04 draft. This meant paving the way for Deuce McCalister and eventually Reggie Bush among other running backs. Eventually, Mike would sign with the St. Louis Rams to finish his career paving the way for Steven Jackson before retiring. 

After his Pro Bowl career, Mike has put his energy into a few different passions. Karney is a real estate investor and the uniform inspector for the Los Angeles Rams which keeps him involved in game. Now that one of his sons is old enough to plan, he also gets to be a coach.
