Salk is back from San Diego and is fired up about the M's and their two wins against the Padres, especially since he attended the game yesterday. The bottom of the order has been impressive, but Julio is still the story "even when he's not," according to Salk. We revisit yesterday's conversation with Jayson Stark (The Athletic) to get his perspective on what Julio's rookie season has been like before Salk says Julio should be an All-Star but probably won't because of the national view.

*Mike Lefko and Ryan Roland-Smith in for Mike Salk*
We all complained of fireworks keeping us awake but it's ok because the Mariners keep winning and Julio keeps showing that he's the man. Lefko asks Ryan to give a letter grade to the Mariners starting pitching and bullpen before an abbreviated 'Take the L' due to a ton of scheduled guests coming on today's show.

The Mariners have put themselves back into a position that makes us believe the Wild Card may be within actual striking distance, but they still need a few more pieces to fall into place and the injuries/suspensions are not helping. Gee Scott joins Salk in-studio for his first visit in a few weeks to discuss his recent marriage and all the Pac-12 news from yesterday before ultimately declaring the Seahawks will NOT bring in Baker Mayfield.
