While Salk, Maura, Justin and many Seahawks fans are happy with the #9 pick Charles Cross, we revisit some of the conversations we've had in the past with NFL analysts and Draft experts who didn't exactly have Charles Cross going to the Seahawks. Salk said he would be excited and he is, this is the best case scenario in terms of position, but the HUGE part of why Salk wanted them to go LT at 9 is that they can go DE with the #40 pick. We read some of the comments about the Seahawks needs from national sports writers and hear how they graded Cross before Salk is joined by former Seahawk OL Ray Roberts to break down his thoughts. Brock Huard was covering the draft for 710 and joins to express what he'd like to see the team do with their next pick(s).

After all the drama, analysis and speculation - the Seahawks select a strong left tackle out of Mississippi State in Charles Cross with the #9 pick. Salk loves that they picked at a position of need regardless that Cross was known mostly for his pass blocking. Charles Cross himself calls in to the show from the Las Vegas airport on his way to meet the rest of the team & coaching staff in Seattle.

Marco Gonzalez left yesterday's game after being hit on his throwing wrist by a 109mph line-drive. X-rays were negative, but it could impact the rotation. Salk, Maura & Justin all made their picks for who they'd like to see the Seahawks select with their first top 10 pick in over a decade but the amount of options (and needs) the Seahawks have makes us all believe that we'll all be wrong. Salk's birthday has arrived and so has the eye of the hurricane for football fans as we are only hours away from finding out who will be a part of the next chapter of the Seahawks with the #9 pick. Salk is excited about the power in the M's lineup and this has been without Haniger back or JK & Julio really getting hot yet. The 7 unearned runs is rare but they made those breaks with hustle and putting the ball in play, something they didn’t do as well last year. Ultimately it will come down to how sustainable it is.
