It was twenty-eight years ago in 1998 when I first spotted the phenomenon that I quickly referred to as the 1.6% Rule. It had to do with the differential time-wise between the first place finisher and the skier who finished in 17th place. well, the same thing happened last week with come-back star Lindsey Vonn taking the gold and another 17th place finisher. Sometimes we just need to take a break from the strenuous work we devote to masking our craft. The piano drove this point home to me this week and it was supported by chance when I began preparing for an upcoming presentation focusing on "Branding." Today I have a double message for you. I've shared this advice before but it keeps on popping up. If and when you think of somebody for no reason at all, find a moment to contact them sooner rather than later. Don't question the reasoning. Just do it.

My second reminder had to do with a snow filled driveway and a Propane Truck. The weight of the truck, the slant of the driveway and the slickness of the snow pack made it impossible to deliver a much needed fuel order. With just a little bit of assistance in the form of small grains of sand, was enough to induce enough traction to mount the hill. I hope this experience came with an obvious reminder. Just a tad more assistance is often all that is required to get over a perceived insurmountable problem. Tune in, Listen up. And then go call somebody.
