Guys chase money and "stuff" because they think they need it to generate greater efficacy in dating. High-volume approach frees you from the mindset of feeling like you need a lot of money.
Yes, we all want to be comfortable enough and have the freedom to live life as we please, but we could make the contention that the greater the focus the male carries with respect to money, the less he's actually developed his confidence through approach.
If you approach, e.g., 20-30 new girls daily, or near-daily, for a year, you're going to be dating many women by at least mid-year (it takes time to build up to having many plates). You might reflect and say, wow, ok, I really don't need material "stuff," considering I live in a shit-hole right now and am not fancy and yet still am able to generate efficacy in dating.
This is when you begin to crossover and observe that other guys chase money simply because they don't approach a lot themselves and haven't developed their confidence yet.
Money only feels essential to chase when it functions to buy you stuff in order to fill a void in confidence. No orange mustang will help you walk up to a trio and introduce yourself.
As you approach more and more -- (-- = arrow; YouTube doesn't allow arrows for some reason) non-neediness and confidence rise -- better dating life -- male realizes his forwardness and boldness alone are sufficient for sexual efficacy -- male sees less of a need to focus on materialism and money -- male feels more at ease making less money and freeing himself up to do other things in life (e.g., approaching more, taking on hobbies, backpacking in a foreign country sleeping in hostels).
This is not to mention that repeated rejection through dating is what creates the male's ability to not care about others' opinions and judgments as much external to dating. This in turn allows the male to not care about what others think about him making less money.
So in turn: consistent approach -- recognizing that money isn't needed to have a good dating life + caring less about people's opinions and judgments -- male chooses to live a life true to himself, even if that means living in a tiny unit in some country he never thought he'd live in -- male reflects on how he got to his current situation in the first place -- sees that his confidence to live life true to himself external to dating is derived from high-volume and approach and rejection inherent to the dating process.
