Mike's Unedited Let's Plays! episodes

  • SNK Vs Capcom Card Fighters DS
So the opening is alright if you want to hear wrestling and gaming opinions... The actual game though? Not good. If you're wanting to play an anime card game on ds I would stick with Yu-Gi-Oh. The art is good, but the core systems are sluggish for a card game on the platform. It's not as nippy or thuggish as the NeoGeo Pocket colour versions, and therefore not as fun. Also I mistakenly mentioned the wonderswan, which is incorrect. Oh well.

  • Temple of Elemental Evil - Episode 1 - Beginnings that go awry

Also available as a video on Youtube: https://youtu.be/M1k7Kb6Inwk

There's also an episode on Youtube that refuses to become an audio track. I don't know why but that's just how it is I don't have time to try being good at this. So if you're particularly interested in looking at character creation & hearing me try to get a baby to sleep look towards this video: https://youtu.be/CHB1xnvnB6I

Now I won't spoil things for you, but one of our adventurers won't make it through this episode. I know, controversial. But it turns out that level 1 adventurers can die incredibly easily! Basically my greed get's the better of me and I have paid for my hubris. It's fine, we shall continue!

  • Neither the computer or the baby approve of my decision to play Killer Instinct (2013)

    also on youtube: https://youtu.be/Wjg4-I0k7eM

So apparently I timed trying out the modern KI for Nap-o'clock foolish daddy. So yeah a poorly baby doing the "you're meant to be bouncing around singing folk songs now daddy" yell.
Also the PC is like "SHE CANNAE DO IT CAP'N!" like... it's not doing the super chug because I didn't hear everything whir into hyperdrive, but defnitely not a game that likes to run nicely. I might try bumping the resolution down a bit because that made Blazblue look a bit better when I did that...
Anyway, the baby is fine, as I type this she's kind of half snoozing half secreting mucus onto my shirt. We definitely have a super-cold this week. I blame the big child, she seems to come back from school with the slightest sniffle which then absolutely batters the rest of us. I mean, I appreciate my mutant power being the undying love of the cats, but I'd love that immune system she has!
Right, have a nice day. If I can get this babbs in a position so I can record I'll do a bit of Ponies today.

  • Blazblue Chrono Phantasma - Ragna Arcade

    Also on Youtube: https://youtu.be/9PnjxPqNbvA

Man I really thought I'd be less shit with Ragna. Also I thought I'd get less sidetracked by family stuff this time around. Another lunch break session, I suspect the conversations my wife starts with me can only be heard on my side of things which I'm sure makes for some excellent radio. Also the baby is learning how to unpause and start playing herself... she's like 6 or 7 months... future champ in the making I'm sure.
Anyway maybe tomorrow's lunch will be an rpg or something, that's what I'm thinking anyway. I kind of feel like Wizardry after watching a video by this portugese chap: https://youtu.be/aMwhCj0kv3c?si=I3r0quGVLYvctT84

  • Blazblue Chrono Phantasma Extend - Taokaka Arcade ladder

    Also available on Youtube: https://youtu.be/n3uZvw9_L1w

How long will this lunchtime game session last before I end up having to be a dad?... approx 15 minutes I think.Having a lot of fun playing as Tao, I just love Blazblue I think. Remake Cross Tag with an arcade mode and all the characters in it without all the extra dlc costs.... wouldn't happen would it? by the way here's the story bit of a really good retrospective series that Thorgi's Arcade did a while back. Don't feel like I could in any good conscience not credit it with me being able to actually decipher what's going on at any particular point playing this game nowadays.
