Player 1 (Mel) and Player 2 (jonnymorgue) are the martial arts duo Billy and Jimmy Lee. They are famously known as the "Double Dragons". In this sequel - the brothers are avenging Billy's girlfriend Marian after she was shot to death by the antagonist Willy - the Shadow Warrior's leader. Willy is retaliating against the Double Dragons after his last defeat at the end of the previous video game, "Double Dragon". As they fight through street gangs, nunchaku-toting ninjas and giant mutant warriors while toting perfect hair - one enemy named, "Bolo" somehow continues to survive the attacks and always comes back for more.
