The Atlantic City Marathon is a fast, mostly flat race featuring 8 miles of breezy boardwalk and ocean views. As the 3rd oldest continuously running marathon in the U.S., it offers a mix of history, charm, and fun. Mile 20 hosts Lorri and Laura ran it with Laura’s daughter Madi, soaking in a weekend of casinos, rooftop bars, and three “beverage stops” along the course. From a smooth packet pickup with complimentary vodka to scenic coastal stretches through Margate and Ventnor, AC delivered a memorable race experience with great vibes and even better company.

This point-to-point course offers a fast downhill start, rolling hills, and over 600 feet of elevation with saguaro cacti standing tall along the way. With a generous 6+ hour cutoff, runners tackled everything from the full marathon to fun runs, all benefiting youth programs. From massages gone wrong to post-race Outlander marathons, this trip had it all—scenery, sunshine, and zero shade.
