Mile in My Shoes co-founders Mishka Vertin and Mike Jurasits and program member Geno Benshoof visit the podcast to talk about how the nonprofit uses running to empower members of the homeless, immigrant, refugee and incarcerated community. More than 100 Mile in My Shoes members have completed a 5K race since the program's inception in 2014. Benshoof, who gained his released from prison just last month, is competing in this year's Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon.
