Mill Creek Foursquare Church

Join us Pastor Andrew continues our series with Part 3 in Isaiah.

Pastor Chris continues our teaching series entitled “The Vision of Isaiah.” In this second study of the series, “The Holy One of Israel,” we study in Isaiah 6 about the holiness of God, while investigating several of the moments God is described as the Holy One of Israel. Through these, we see God as both transcendent and imminent - as other than and above, and yet the one who draws near to those he loves.

Pastor Chris begins our teaching series entitled “The Vision of Isaiah.” In this first study of the series, “Judgment & Hope,” we study in Isaiah 1 & 6, through which we see God’s call on Isaiah’s life to offer his words of both judgment and hope.

Pastor Chris continues our teaching series entitled “James: Faith in Action.” In this ninth study of the series, “The Deceitfulness of Wealth,” we study in James 4:13-5:6, through which we are challenged to do business well and use our resources generously for the good of others.

Pastor Chris continues our teaching series entitled “James: Faith in Action.” In this eighth study of the series, “The Challenge of Conflict and the Beauty of Surrender,” we study in James 4:1-10, through which we are invited into the consideration of relational conflict and the wisdom of a life surrendered to God who responds to those who humble themselves.

Pastor Chris continues our teaching series entitled “James: Faith in Action.” In this seventh study of the series, “The Destructive Power of Favoritism,” we study in James 2:1-13, through which we receive a warning about exercising favoritism within the community of Jesus. We, instead, are to be full of mercy, joining Jesus in his way of rejecting power’s corruption and moving towards others in compassion.

Pastor Chris continues our teaching series entitled “James: Faith in Action.” In this sixth study of the series, “The Power of Our Words,” we study in James 1:19-21, 3:1-12 and 4:11-12, through which we receive an invitation to grow in our control of the tongue even as we grow as disciples/followers of Jesus.

We're excited to continue our series on James! Pastor Jenn Bell will be sharing a message about humility and unity, drawing from James chapters 3 and 4. She’ll also share some examples from the mission field. If you would like to know more about what's happening in missions here at MC4, visit mc4s.org/missions

We continue this week in our James series, Faith in Action, with a teaching titled "When You Are Tempted." James writes, "When you are tempted, do not say, 'God is tempting me.'" the follower of Christ is guaranteed to face temptation. No matter the circumstance, we will go through hard things. But James points us toward holding onto the good gifts of God rather than giving in to temptation. This Sunday we will be unpacking the root of temptation, how it grows, and how we can ultimately kill the temptation that so easily gives birth to sin.

Pastor Chris continues our teaching series entitled “James: Faith in Action.” In this third study of the series, “Dealing with Challenges and Trials,” we study in James 1:2-4 and 5:7-12, through which we receive a framework for joy in suffering and patience as we wait on God when faced with difficulties.
