Sensory deprivation or perceptual isolation is the deliberate reduction or removal of stimuli from one or more of the senses. Humans are constantly in a state of stimulation, whether from the news on TV, the music playing in your speakers, or the notification buzz from your phone - we are always alert. Removing these stimulants allow us to achieve a state of relaxation that is rare and much needed. Geoff is the owner of Go Float, located in Burlington, Ontario. He explains the benefits and misconceptions around floating and why everyone should be doing this at least once a month. Have you ever thought of working abroad? There are so many opportunities to work and travel at the same time (currently limited due to covid-19) that get overlooked. In this episode, we discuss teaching english abroad and how it feels to uproot your life from across the world.
