From our friends to our upbringing, there are many reasons as to why misinterpreting religion is so dangerous. These discussions can perhaps help us understand why flawed or groundless claims about religion have paved the way to an increasingly intolerant society of Islamophobia, Anti Semitism and other ills- creating a liberally fascist environment, in the name of freedom. So do we understand religion as well as we should or are those early, contributing factors: the media, popular culture and fashionable lifestyles feeding us a wrong image?

Tonight we will be continuing the #StopKillingAfghans Movement with special guest Afghan diplomat, Naveed Noormal and discussing Afghanistan and Iran’s relationship and the critical issues surrounding the conflict and migration. We will also touch on Afghanistan’s security situation, the aftermath and investigations following the #YazdTragedy and looking to building a future that sees Afghan migrants in the diaspora, as equal and free citizens of their host countries.
