This week on the Mind, Body, Soil podcast we are joined by the legend Blair Beattie. Blair is a farmer, a foodie, a mover and a shaker, and is the man responsible for activating the Australian branch of Farmers Footprint.
Farmer’s Footprint Australia shares a vision with its sister organisation in the USA, Farmer’s Footprint US. It works collaboratively to create global programs and initiatives that support the regeneration of human and planetary health.
Farmers Footprint is the brainchild of triple MD Dr Zach Bush whose work on glyphosate and the microbiome may be some of the most important science being done today.
In this conversation, David and Blair dive deep into the world of Mind, Body and Soil while discussing tools and techniques that are available to anyone. They talk of the change afoot and all of the incredible things happening in the regenerative agriculture space.
We hope you enjoy this incredible conversation with the one and only Blair Beattie. If you would like to learn more about Farmers Footprint, head to https://farmersfootprint.org.au/ to see how you can be a part of this movement & make sure you watch their epic short film while you’re there, Thanks for listening.
The Mind Body Soil podcast is exploring the intersection between human health, soil health, and mental health through a diversity of different personal experiences and lives well lived. If we heal our land we heal ourselves, and if we heal ourselves we heal our land. MBS unpacks the stories of modern-day legends on a mission to regenerate our minds, our bodies, and our soils.
This week on the podcast we are joined by Dr Judi Earl. Dr Judi Earl has been preaching the virtues and importance of livestock for land health for over 20 years. After advising and training hundreds of graziers and land managers, Judi decided it was time to put the principles into practice. The purchase of ‘Glen Orton’ - 'the GO' - in 2011 provided the perfect opportunity to showcase the capacity of grazing animals to regenerate land.
Join Judi, and Podcast host David Lewis as they talk all things Mind, body, & soil while tapping into Judi’s extensive knowledge in Pasture Ecology, Animal Health, and Regenerative grazing management.
The discussions in MBS will be grounded in agricultural theory but will not be limited to solely agricultural specialists. Rather the idea is to create a groundswell of interest and engagement in agricultural topics while unpacking just how closely they relate to everyday life.
