As we continue the discussion, the topics of accountability, boundaries, and standards is front and center. And can you have religion without spirituality or vice versa?

Mind Coffee's goal is to promote respectful and intriguing discussion about today's issues by filtering them through common sense and intellect.
Should we have uncomfortable conversations and open debate? In today's culture, it has become increasingly difficult to have a simple conversation with someone about anything significant. The political correctness, cancel culture, and offense taken at every turn make it almost impossible. Is all hope lost? We once were a society steeped in respectful disagreements and hearty debates. These conversations made room for new ideas, passing of information, enlightenment, creativity, and free thought. Can we find ways to bring back good, old-fashioned discussion?
With America's history of brutality to outsiders, even as they have landed on her shores, should Americans still celebrate Independence Day on July 4th? Are there certain groups that should not celebrate America's freedom and independence? America's founding documents - The Declaration of Independence and The U.S. Constitution - speak volumes about truth, freedom, equality, and God; yet our country has fallen short in so many areas. Can the idealized America still be celebrated?
In light of the recent protests against social injustice, Juneteenth takes on a renewed meaning. As the country's collective conscience is seared and Americans from all walks of life come together in unity, the significance of this historic day is finally coming into its own. Join us to learn some history and hear some perspectives!
