In today’s podcast, I’m talking about therapist burnout and how to prevent it. Burnout is physical or emotional exhaustion that impacts your identity and makes it feel like you can’t accomplish tasks or prevents you from acknowledging accomplishment. You’ll hear: ways to complete the stress cycle, the five anecdotal ways I practice burnout prevention, and 7 questions to ask yourself to assess if you are practicing burnout prevention as a small business owner.

You’ve got a good problem as a small business owner. You’re booked and busy. Too busy, in fact. The things you used to be able to juggle suddenly feel impossible. Outsourcing is a key strategy when growing or maintaining a business. It can feel tough to know when to outsource, and what tasks are worth having someone else do.
I’ll cover six things I’ve invested in that have made my life easier as a small business owner. I also tackle where to look for help.

Scarcity mindset is more nuanced than feeling like there’s not enough. And in business, any problem seemed to be blamed on a “scarcity mindset.” Instead of scarcity vs. abundance, I’m going to talk about what’s usually underneath “scarcity.” And that, my friends? Is usually fear. I’ll cover five common fears that keep people from investing financially or energetically in their businesses.

It’s ok not to be an entrepreneur. It’s ok to clock in at a job, have a steady paycheck, and know you have access to healthcare. And? It’s totally fine to use your 9-5 to help you prep for becoming a small business owner if that’s what you want. In this episode, I’ll cover what you can do before you quit your job and jump into entrepreneurship, what founder burnout is, and why it’s ok to use your traditional job to fund your small business.
