Coronavirus is at large and affecting the world's health and economy but, not as much as you'd be led to believe. I give you my thoughts on the misleading news coverage. Gary Vaynerchuk (GaryVee) is consistently mentioned in this episode as he is now one of my idols. Lil Uzi Vert has made a splash on the Global Daily Apple Music Charts every day for the last two weeks and it goes to show that the curated playlists on every platforms home pages are bought by wealthy record labels and the charts are where we can really see what people are listening to. Charli D'Amelio is mere millions away from crossing Loren Gray in TikTok followers; I think Loren is more than upset about it behind closed doors. It'll be interesting to see what happens and how each party responds. To close the episode, I shift away from hot topics and discuss my Radon job and why I'm staying. I think it's important people realize that they're allowed to change their minds especially if you stand to lose or gain much from said decision. Cherish every moment and realize that time, aside from you yourself, is your biggest asset.
Oh and we're no longer in a car. We're in a Dungeon :)
This is the first episode of the Mind of Moe podcast to ever be recorded with video! The visual version is in the works for YouTube and other social platforms soon after this launches sonically. In this episode I, for the first time, have talking points. The points cover everything from moetacos being banned from TikTok to what it's like managing everything that I create and document. I dive into what the twitter journalists are saying about Summer Walker's new nose and how Afro-American culture is now dominating the music industry which, in turn, will ultimately lead to Moe's introduction to said industry... starting with the basics of a very capable Garageband software. The episode does have some serious moments, though, where I cover my opinions on body ideals and fitness in America, plastic surgery, and transphobia. Key themes to take with you are those of honesty and frankness in being yourself. Unapologetically.
Also, this episode follows the theme of every episode before that has come before it: Explicit
This episode is mostly about the growth of e-sports as a genuine sport to become the most popular one in the coming future and sports announcer Kevin Harlan's impact on radio, commentary and video games. We begin, though, with a little bit of Pastor Moe preaching about the importance of being authentic and true to yourself, knowing that you're free to leave a job whenever you want to (unless, of course, you're bound by contract), and that no one can make a decision about your life for you; you have to do it, for the most part, alone. I lean in a little on branding and why Disney's name carries such weight and what should happen to Metro PCS now that Sprint and T-Mobile are cleared legally to converge. Finally, I address the noise around my BTS video reaction and why people shouldn't destroy our right to free speech over hurt feelings... Oh, and also you look like your car.
Far from clean and a far-cry from the "Informative Heavy" vibe of the last episode, this one is care-free and fluid with its chill pacing and its think-out-loud thought processing. I talk about my experiences on the Kindergarten playground, Netflix's Cheer documentary, and a number of other things in short capacity. If anything, this episode was built for the soundbite. So, grab a snack, kick your feet back, and enjoy this laid-back, explicit, and entertaining yet thought provoking episode of the Mind of Moe Podcast! :)
This is by far my most informative podcast to date on "Mind of Moe." Yes, there are some bits with accents and talks of starving myself because of Mandasi being so good but, for the most part you'll learn a lot from this one. I discuss everything from College to Debt and Housing. Everything from Algorithms and Like-Ratios to Andrew Yang's political fall. Of course this wouldn't be a "Mind of Moe" episode if I wasn't being true to myself so, you will hear me being brutally honest about where I am achievements-wise and how I plan to move forward in the direction of music. A sneak peek into what I'm working on for the WatchMoe channel on YouTube is also in here as well. Listen and listen again because this one is one to be heard again and again long after I blow up :)
Recorded yesterday morning (Feb 10) during my usual Radon route. My voice is getting better and I'm starting to get in the rhythm with this podcast. The last few days I've been extremely busy so that's why this episode was late. Anyways, I start off discussing the different Matt Steffanina and Mihran Kirakosian choreographies I learned in order to get as good at dancing as I am now. That led me to addressing the post-production of videos and mainly how different social media sites unsynchronize your videos by a very annoying fraction of a second. I also give advice on how to avoid it and spill tea on what really went down in my HIGHEST IN THE ROOM video. Also in this episode: a lyrical breakdown of Yummy by Justin Bieber and also a silly country cover of Yummy by Justin Bieber. I happen to do a good number of accents and actually may or may not but wasn't intending to but kinda did insult Hailey Bieber in the nicest most kindest way (YIKES)... and to end it all off I talk again about authenticity. Oh and how much I like Billie Eilish and the way she performs and how honest she is about herself.
that was a mouthful, enjoy :)
On this Thursday morning I cover everything from Arrow (up until the end of season 7) and You on Netflix so, be aware of spoilers. I also touch on doing things for and appreciating yourself, your mind, and your body; the importance of breaks and easing into strenuous activities is stressed. Justin Bieber, his music, and his documentary are touched on as well. Oh and I sing and do funny accents. Radon was a breeze, only three sets so this one's a quickie :)
This episode, like the previous one, is in part carried by music that I was playing in my car. I thought I could have it be part of the podcast but ANYWAYSS, you hear me (jan 27) talk about everything from self-esteem to Kobe Bryant to Justin Bieber's new Seasons documentary. Oh and all while i'm doing my Radon route :)
This opening episode of the Mind of Moe podcast, which will literally take you wherever the Mind of Moe decides to wander, is a brief one that covers everything from believing in yourself to name-checking Belle Tire in a not so positive light. This and the following episode were meant to be longer but I did not think that
