Welcome to Mind Reader Audios, where you can unwind listening to your favorite new thought author or discover one. In this session, James Allen, born 1864 in Leicester, England. Known for his inspirational books, poetry and being a self-help pioneer, “As a Man Thinketh” was his best known work, resulting in mass production around 1902; now a globally embraced personal development classic. This book promotes the underlying premise that your thoughts, be they noble or impure, often dictate your outer reality and circumstances.
This book became a very soothing outlet for me during the covid-19 pandemic of 2020. . . Matter of fact, I narrated this initially for myself, to read it to my mind, as I relaxed or drifted off to sleep. I find it to be a deep source of inspiration to right thinking and more introspective study.
I hope you enjoy this narration. And if you would like to support my work, here on this channel, I hope you consider treating me to a coffee at MindReaderAudios.com/Coffee

In this narration, we are reading from one of Florence Scovel Shinn's most popular books, The Game of Life, chapter 8: Intuition.
Considered to be among the likes of James Allen and Wallace D. Wattles, Miss Shinn was an artist, author and metaphysics teacher in New York in the early part of the 1900's. Her books were remarkable and revolutionary in her times. They are profound, full of wisdom and have inspired thousands of people for several decades. She was an outstanding proponent of the power of thoughts.
📖"The Game of Life and How To Play It", offers as a foundation principles that help us in life. It suggests that we must understand the universal laws that govern thoughts in order to win this game of life, in which we all find ourselves. By sharing real-life stories, she illustrates how positive attitudes and affirmations invariably succeed in making one a winner in life - able to control life’s conditions and release abundance through knowledge of spiritual law. She can be considered one of the last century’s most popular success teachers.
About her personally, she was born in Camden, New Jersey, and was educated at Friends Central School in Philadelphia. She later studied art at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts from 1889 to 1897. While there, she met Everett Shinn, a painter of impressionistic canvases and realistic murals. They married shortly after Florence graduated from the art academy. The Shinns moved to New York where both pursued their separate careers, Everett in the theatre while Florence did illustrations for children’s literature in magazines and books. In 1925, Florence decided to self-publish “The Game of Life and How to Play It”.
💗I am personally extremely grateful for this subject matter and the opportunity to narrate such exquisite wisdom. Also in her collection is, "Your Word is Your Wand” & “The Secret Door to Success”, published in 1940 shortly before her death on October 17, 1940. And if all this was not enough blessing to us, a forth book, “The Power of the Spoken Word”, a compendium of her notes, gathered by one of her students was published posthumously in 1945.
I truly hope you will enjoy this narration and if you would like to help support the channel, it's greatly appreciated!
May You Grow & Prosper,
