So yes, this is part 2 to last weeks story. This is because this is an entire novel. A very brief recap of last weeks episode, so spoilers right now. John Perashing kills one of the six great hounds as one of the last few ground cities burns around him. Meanwhile further north is a Liam, and his sister.  Liam has been protecting his sister for years, and so when he loses her. He loses his only meaning for life. Or so he thinks, and that is where John finds him after having to ground the SkyHeart.

A bit of a throw back story to when I first started writing short stories. This one was aimed at having a clear message kinda like a kids show. It was a fun experiment in the power of repetition. I also wrote it when I really started noticing that I did what this character does. Just constantly chasing the next thing in a vain hope it will make me happy.

Story time real quick. This story was written in 2019, and then recorded in 2020. However the original recording was done on an iPhone. I did have a massive back log of short story recordings until I went back and listened to what they actually sounded like. They all sound awful. So this particular short story 'The Lake' was rerecorded today on my new actual microphone. All of that is to say, that is why I am almost missing my Monday window. I am also currently working on now rerecording all of those short stories that I feel as though I can no longer use. Wish me luck!

A man is trying to live his life, but a mysterious figure keeps following him everywhere he goes. From his walks late at night, to work, and even the mans own home. Who is this mysterious thing, and why does he want to know what love is?
