Black residents of Baltimore City experienced historical trauma over multiple generations of segregation, forced displacement, physical and psychological violence, economic deprivation, and cultural loss. While Blacks have survived, there is little discussion about the effects of the trauma and the roots of the trauma that we see in the outcomes in our families and communities.
How did Blacks survive? Mind Twerking...They intentionally kept it moving even when people were staring, pointing, and talking about the way they moved in their lives. That's what Mind Twerking is all about.
