Happy Father's Day! This Movie Night Mariko shows JD a classic. The Stepfather (1987) from Joseph Ruben! Jerry Blake (Terry O'Quinn) plays the titular stepfather to Stephanie Maine (Jill Schoelen). She is not too keen on her mother, Susan Maine's (Shelley Hack) new husband. Something about him seems off. Could it be that he rambles to himself in the basement? His domineering presence? Or the fact that he may be a murderer? Oh well, it's nothing a gift of a puppy wouldn't fix.

This Movie Night JD shows Mariko a classic, When Harry Met Sally... (1989) from Rob Reiner! Sally Albright (Meg Ryan) and Harry Burns (Billy Crystal) meet in 1977 as they graduate college and join up on a road trip from Chicago to New York City. They don't quite hit it off and end their trip with Harry's assertion that men and women can never be friends. Yet throughout the years they would keep meeting and the two would find themselves intertwined in a growing relationship.

This Movie Night JD and Mariko open their series with Wish Upon (2017) from John R. Leonetti! Jonathan Shannon (Ryan Phillippe) was just your everyday ordinary trash collecting single saxophone dad, when he gives his daughter Clare (Joey King) a mysterious music box that will grant the owner seven wishes. Yet not all is as it seems, as these wishes cause some problems for the Wishmaster... nope that's another movie. Anyway. WISH UPON!
