As students prepare for the start of a new school year, the Back 2 School Festival returns August 7th-8th at Watauga High School to help ensure a prepared and confident start to the academic term. The Back to School Festival (B2SF) was created to lift the heavy financial burden that back-to-school shopping creates for local families. When families are unable to afford supplies the responsibility often falls on faculty and staff and can leave the child feeling insecure or inadequate.
Organizers Kendra Sink and Tara Stollenmaier join us to give the details on this year's event, inform parents about how to access the new drive-thru delivery method, and provide information about how businesses and families can help fundraise to ensure all needs are met.
Mind Your Business is produced each week thanks in part to a partnership between Appalachian Commercial Real Estate and High Country Radio.
